About The Position
🐴 Now Hiring: Barn Manager Extraordinaire at Sorensen Stables 🐴 Are you the kind of person who thrives in a well-run barn, knows how to keep both horses and humans happy, and isn’t afraid to grab a pitchfork or a clipboard (or both)? Good — keep reading. Sorensen Stables is on the hunt for a Show Barn Manager to lead with confidence, care, and a little charisma. This isn’t just any barn manager gig — you’ll be the heartbeat of the barn, making sure everything runs smoothly. 🛠 What You’ll Be Doing: * Being the go-to person for culture and daily operations — you’re the calm in the storm and the boss who builds other bosses. * Managing and mentoring a small, skilled team of barn staff so they can operate like a well-oiled (horse-safe) machine. * Overseeing all horse care at home and at shows, including scheduling, logistics, and record-keeping. * Working closely with our head rider to maintain the highest standards of care, training, and horse well-being. * Riding/flatting horses as needed, according to each horse’s program and our training philosophy. * Potentially Traveling to top-tier shows (but not every weekend – we value rest, too!). 🧾 What We’re Looking For: * Previous experience managing a show barn at the national or international level. * Top-tier horse sense and management skills — you know your poultice from your protocol. * Excellent communication, scheduling, and leadership skills. * A hands-on, detail-obsessed approach with a team-player attitude. * The ability to stay organized, flexible, and positive, even when the ponies test your patience. * North American or Europe work permit 🐎 Who We Are: We’re a tight-knit, professional barn with 8–12 horses, a calm and efficient vibe, and a shared love for top-quality horse care. We attend premium shows and put horse welfare, team spirit, and attention to detail above all. 💌 Ready to Join the Team? This is a full-time, key role in a barn that genuinely values its people and horses. Shoot us a DM or send your résumé and a short note to. Let’s chat! --- *Serious professionals with a sense of humor encouraged to apply. Bonus points if you know how to keep a muck bucket and a spreadsheet equally clean.*
