About The Position
Looking for two new team members (EU ONLY!) to join our team asap in a private show jumping stable close to Turnhout . Permanent candidates preferred but open to long-term freelancers. Show groom: - Being the main show groom for an amateur rider jumping up to 4* classes. - Approx 2-4 shows per month, home groom will join if many horses are going. - All normal stable duties incl feeding, mucking out etc. - Can clip and plait well - Truck license mandatory, trailer preferred but not a must have. - Previous experience required and capable of working alone and in team, tidy and reliable. - Open to spending ~3 months in Florida during winter season. - Has his/her own car. Home groom - All normal stable duties incl feeding, mucking out etc. - Tacking up, turning horses out, lunging etc. - Occasional riding might be possible depending on skills but this is not a full-time riding position. - Willing to go to the shows from time to time. - Can keep the stable tidy and organized, eye for detail and good team player. - Has his/her own car. For both positions: - Nice facility in Retie, Belgium (20min from Turnhout, 30min from Eindhoven). - Team of 4 people in total: stable manager, 2 home grooms and show groom. - Approx 6-10 horses - Furnished accommodation can be provided if not from the area. - 6 days a week, ~7:00-17:00 (may vary depending on the specific day) - Official contract, holiday days and pension. - Salary based on experience and skill - English speaking candidates from EU countries only.
