About The Position
Stony Hill Stables, located in the Hamptons and operating for 60+ years, seeks a riding instructor/light horse care manager to join our established, active lesson program. This is a summer position. There is the opportunity to continue on in September as Instructor and Managing Director of the Riding School*. Expectations include teaching a combination of private, group, and camp lessons to students of various ages and abilities on a wonderful selection of school horses as well as overseeing the school horse herd in conjunction with our grooms. The candidate will also be responsible for attending three-five horse shows with several students over the course of the summer. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching children and adults of beginning and intermediate levels. A confident, enthusiastic approach toward students to help foster the love of horses is a must. Applicants must be outgoing and work well with peers and other staff. We are a team-oriented, positive, and supportive work environment with competitive pay. Benefits include a weekly salary, a housing stipend and an end of contract term bonus.
