About The Position

Things we need assistance with: Feeding, turning horses in and out, cleaning stalls (only at the shows), setting jumps (at home and at the shows), tacking/ grooming, clipping, lunging, help at the show ring/ show day preparations and all other misc. chores and managment that go into day to day operations of a stable. There is an opportunity to ride/ exercise horses for the right person but this is not a full time riding position. We have a really nice string of 7-10 horses, mostly jumpers, from young ones to horses in their prime. We operate as a family (this is a family business), we have a family environment, we work hard and are very hands on with all things stable chores and farm maintenance. We want our team to enjoy their work and feel good about their work and the horses. This is a 5 ½ to a 6 day a week job. Some days we will be done early, some days will be long. The candidate must be: Responsible, enjoy the horses, team player, hardworking, willing to learn. Would appreciate it if applicant can provide references. 3 month minimum. Open to someone coming from Europe. Unable to assist with a long term visa at this time. We can provide: Small private camper to live in on the property (FL), housing/ room in PA (if returning home with us to PA is of interest). Possible dry stall and basic board for one horse. Possible use of a farm vehicle to run errands, go to the grocery store etc. Discounted training at home and at the shows. We have a beautiful farm in both Ocal, FL and Centre Hall, PA where we are blessed to work out of in the summer/ winters.
