About The Position
I am a farm owner, horse owner, importer, and breeder. We have a beautiful boutique horse farm in Leeds, Alabama on 48 acres, where we live full-time. I am looking for someone to instruct me in riding my stallion (he is a show horse and has had a professional rider and career since I imported him 4 years ago). Right now he is home to get all the mares pregnant and I really want to keep him home and ride him. I have been out of the saddle for over a year and want to get back to riding and learning (clinics) and going to a few shows a year and be a long stirrup champion ☺️. Besides instructing me and keeping him ridden, other responsibilities *could* include barn management (7 stall barn), horse and barn care on Saturday afternoon and Sundays, handling a stallion, handling pregnant mares, assisting to haul in for breeding, handling foals, bathing/grooming, general care, braiding/clipping for brand inspections, social media help, and night check. I have a great team already and want to add to suit my own desires to ride. Salary is dependent on skill and commitment to other responsibilities. A moving allowance is possible. I am happy to discuss more over a phone call. I will make this a win-win for the right person who has a heart and desire to learn and is excited about this unique opportunity.
