About The Position
We are a private family farm based in Charleston, SC with two amateur riders and two pony kids. We are looking for a candidate to manage training at home and ride when needed (usually when owner is traveling). Since we are a small operation, grooming tasks and any necessary care or barn maintenance and management tasks will also be asked. Certain times will travel to train at some smaller AA shows (not a showing position) when we are not meeting our main trainers at bigger shows. I would like someone who has AA show experience either showing (Big Eq would be great), grooming, as a working student, and have learned from top trainers. We have a high standard of care - safety of everyone and the health and happiness of our horses is top priority. Must be able to ride ponies to spicy AO jumper (when needed). On average about 8 horses at a time and only about half get ridden - others are minis, young horses, and broodmare.
