About The Position
Managing a retirement barn of 9 former show jumping horses. Full-time, live in position, must have own car. Everyday duties would include mucking stalls, turnout, feeding, watering, grooming, and cleaning. Other duties would include ordering feed and bedding, managing and administering horses medications, managing farrier schedule, and managing veterinarian visits. Experience caring for older horses would be a bonus. But must be able to identify when horses are sick or injured and know what to do in emergency situations. Occasional light yard work. Good communication skills are a must.
