About The Position

Equine Sports Medicine Veterinary Assistant John R. Steele & Associates is an exclusively equine veterinary practice founded by the legendary Dr. John R. Steele, member of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame. We have been providing high level veterinary care for more than 50 years. The success of our company is built upon a strong foundation of three pillars: client service, highest quality veterinary care, and work ethic. We are actively seeking veterinary technicians and assistants to work with Dr. Timothy Ober in Wellington, Florida for the Winter Equestrian Festival from late November to mid April and Gordonsville, VA from April to late November. Housing is provided in Wellington. Technicians and assistants are responsible for ensuring appointments run efficiently, maintaining equipment, and handling horses during examinations. Staff also performs therapeutic treatments, including FES, Laser, and Shockwave. Horse experience is a requirement however veterinary experience is not required. Training is available for candidates that can communicate effectively, work in a team environment, and have a willingness to learn.
